Title: Control of PMSM usnig SVPWM Based Inverter

Abstract:

    The low-cost electric motor drive will be attractive in industrial applications. Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) drives have been increasingly applied in a verity of industrial applications which requires fast dynamic response and accurate control over wide speed ranges.
    A three phase permanent magnet synchronous motor is used because of its high efficiency, compact size, high torque and reliability. The requirement of an economical motor control drive forces the engineers to go for the sensor-less control of motors.
    The use of electrical motors have dominated the household and industrial applications for many decades and continuously increased. This growth of motors utilization highlights the importance of motor control algorithms for their efficient use. These issues have become more prominent by the countless applications of these motors in almost every industry and the low costs of electronic power devices. The reliability of a system demands that the motor control system should be reliable to withstand the adverse power system conditions. A low-cost electric motor drive will be very attractive in industrial applications.
    A three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor is used because of its high efficiency, compact size, high torque and reliability. The requirement of an economical motor control drive forces the engineers to go for the sensor-less control of motors. In the sensor-less control, a number of controlling algorithms are available.
    Mostly pure sine wave was generated form inverter using SVPWM so that life expectancy of batteries can be increased. The current hardware will be extended to implement an isolated integrated charger. In future, we will improve the dynamic response further. We will implement robust flux weakening control in order to increase its speed up to maximum limit for low torque and high speed applications.
