Title:   3-Phase Power Quality Anlyzer using Arduino Mega 2560 and Labview

Abstract:

   The purpose of our project is to provide a cost effective solution of power quality analysis at Bachelor level studies by using both basic and advance concepts of electrical engineering. By using PTs and Hall Effect sensors, we acquire voltage and current signals. These analog signals are then converted into digital signals using National Instrument device and then fed to PC via USB port using the same device. After having accurate data in PC, LabVIEW software is used to process this data. A program is developed so that data processing is done using digital system processing ideas and different parameters which indicate power quality can be observed from a user friendly graphical user interface. The parameters that govern power quality are voltage (rms and peak values), currents (rms and peak values), frequency, power factor, displacement factor, harmonic analysis, total harmonic distortion, sequence components patterns, energy metering, sag and swell and inflow current due to inductive load. Our GUI enables the user to see individual phase performance separately as well as three phase performance simultaneously. With the help of web server, one can remotely access and controls the program running in LabVIEW.
