Title:   Flux Estimation for Sensorless Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous
            Motor using SPARTAN-3 FPGA


   This project is based on hardware implementation of sensor-less control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) using FPGA ( Spartan-3 ). The PI controllers for speed and current are established using the Spartan-3. The estimated part involves the induction of Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) in the circuit which again is achieved by integration of FPGA. These estimated values are then used in the current and speed loop of vector control for speed control. Results of hardware simulation are compared with Matlab Simulink simulation and other implementation which are found in literature.
